Ryan Blender Rig
Compatible with Blender 3.6, includes a Blender 4.0+ compatible version.
This is Ryan, a well-meaning antagonist with a fascination for firearms and theoretically doing the right thing.
Ryan is rigged automatically with Rigify, so if you're familiar with the addon it should be easy to pick up and get animating. Included is a rifle, and a high caliber sidearm and holster. The holster is attached to his hip, but the armature can be mirrored or disconnected entirely if needed. The weapons are rigged, with magazines attached via Child Of modifiers. A handful of constraints are used for things like the pistol's slide or rifle's stock. The muzzle flashes are separate objects rigged to the weapons, and have some basic shape keys for variety.
HOW TO:
Ryan should be good to use directly in this .blend file, but if you want to append to him your own .blend, I recommend importing the entire CHAR-Ryan Collection instead of just the Armature or Object. Importing the entire collection will keep the widgets and metarig in their own collection that you can hide so it won't clutter your .blend file.
Occasionally, appending will disable the Rigify UI. You can fix this by opening up the Script tab and running this single line of code:
bpy.context.object ['rig_ui_script'] = bpy.data.texts ['ARM-antagonist_ui.py']
Then restart Blender. That should re-enable his Rigify data.
USAGE:
Feel free to animate, modify, or import the model as you like to whatever platform you like, as long as it's free and you credit me.
